Changes and Charges to Appeals

On the 19 December 2011, the UK government's Ministry of Justice has introduced a charge for some asylum and immigration appeals and have also made changes in the way you can submit an appeal.

Fees of £80 for a paper consideration and £140 for an oral hearing will be applied to appeals against decisions taken on or after 19 December 2011.

Applicants who appeal decisions dated 19 December 2011 or later from outside the UK will be required to submit their appeals directly to the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in Leicester and will no longer be able to send them to the visa application centre overseas that made the initial decision.

Applicants who want to appeal a decision dated before 19 December 2011 from outside the UK are still able to send their appeal to the visa section that made the initial decision.

If you are considering applying for an appeal of any visa decision made, we do advise that you do so through an immigration specialist/lawyer.   Give us a call now on Tel:  07940476082 or Email: britishvisas@gmail.com

The Ankara agreement also called the stand-still clause was signed on 12th of September 1963 between Turkey and the European Economic Community (EEC), following the request of Turkey to join the EEC in 1959.

The Ankara Agreement provides special rights for Turkish nationals and offers less stringent requirements for coming and living in the UK (and all other EU member states) under a business or worker visa.

The experienced team at British Visas can assist, guide and advise Turkish nationals in their application under this agreement.

CAS Letters & Student Visa Renewals

Do you have your CAS letter (Confirmation of Acceptance) from your college?

Remember Tier 4 - Student Visas are on the Points Based system:
* 30 points for a Confirmation for Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
* 10 points for maintenance funds

Is your school/college HIGHLY TRUSTED?  or 'A' rated?  If not, your student visa renewal may encounter many problems and be refused -   If your college is ‘B’ rated or lower, they may be restricted to how many CAS letters they can give.

You may not get a CAS letter at all.

Without a CAS letter from your college, you will not be able to apply for your visa or renewal.

Don't be a victim of a visa refusal or lack of CAS letter.

CALL OR TEXT US NOW:   0794047 6082

Consultation appointments for students are reasonably priced and will be deducted from your overall fee should we be taking your case forward, representing you at UKBA or any appeals or court.

Asylum Cases / Overstayers

Please be aware that the LEGACY programme is closing.

In July 2006, the Home Secretary announced that there was an asylum "legacy" of around 450,000 cases, and the UK Border Agency (UKBA) would clear this legacy within 5 years (to 2011). To deal with these legacy cases, the UKBA have established a separate directorate – the legacy directorate.

What is a legacy case?
A legacy case is any case where all of the following apply:
  • there has been a claim for asylum;
  • the Home Office records indicate that the case has not been concluded;
  • the case is not being dealt with by the New Asylum Model (NAM).

If you have been refused asylum before 2007 and are still in the UK and have not had a decision from the UK, or  have not made an application under Legacy to remain please contact us immediately.
