UKVI Course Information Tool & Curtailment Letters

The UKVI and its working group have recently introduced a special Course Information Tool specifically for students of REVOKED colleges and those not yet notified about their withdrawn English Language certificates.

Students in these circumstances should expect to receive letters with a special code and link which will enable them to find a Highly Trusted Tier 4 college/university offering their course.

The CIT is only for students in the situation of revoked college or withdrawn English language certificates.  It is not open to general tier 4 applicants.

Please note that this is no guarantee that the college or university listed will accept you.  Every college/university has their own admission criteria in addition to the requirements from UKVI.

The reality is, that as a student coming from a revoked college, you will be considered 'high risk', and no above board, legitimate tuition institution will place themselves in a position to lose their Tier 4 status.

You will have to prove, beyond a doubt, that you are a legitimate student, seeking an education.

In order to do this you must be able to show progression on your previous courses, your English test is up to date and generally of a 5.0 and above score on each component (IELTS), have certificates and other documents as pointed out in our recent advice post - click to read.

You will, of course, need to be able to satisfy all the entry criteria of the education institution you wish to apply to.  Please email the college / university and ask for their specific requirements if not listed on their website.  Do not just show up seeking admission, unless you have all the required documents needed for applying to your college of choice.

Students of these Tier 4 Revoked institutions can also find other colleges by other means, however, we highly recommend that you use the UKVI's Course Information Tool and apply to colleges/universities listed there.

PLEASE NOTE WELL:  Students who have travelled overseas since the revocation/surrender of your sponsor's licence must apply for a new visa if you wish to return to the UK. If you attempt to enter the UK without obtaining a new visa, you will be refused entry as you have no sponsor for your course.

Curtailment Letters are currently being sent by UKVI to students of these revoked tier 4 institutions.
In most cases, your leave to remain as a Tier 4 student will be 60days.

If your visa is expiring before the 60 day period or before you receive a curtailment letter, you must either leave the UK or find a new college/university.

Students attending suspended colleges and revoked colleges are very strongly advised to immediately start looking for admission to a new highly trusted Tier 4 college - do not wait for your curtailment letter.
