Be Aware - Revoked colleges holding students to ransom

It has come to our attention, thanks to a few students from a recently revoked Tier 4 College of some of the further dodgy actions these revoked colleges are taking.

One college after sending a mass email to all students  filled with false information- informing them they have automatic entry to another HTS college / no fees charged and any assistance the students require will be given.

The students showed up to the recommended HTS college and showed the email, only to be informed that the said college in the email had no knowledge of such arrangement.  They were asked all the questions to determine if they can be considered for application, but when unable to produce transcripts or progress reports they were turned away until that can be produced.

They returned to the revoked college to get the transcripts and progress reports only to find the revoked college have shut and sealed their doors AND their staff are now telling the affected students that they need to pay an additional £600 to receive Progress reports /Transcripts.
Many of the students have paid their fees in FULL, some paying fees as much as £6000.00 to these revoked colleges.

As you may know, in order for a trusted, upstanding college or university to accept you as a student, they will need to examine ALL your documents, including progress reports, certificates or transcripts, all of which help prove that you were really enrolled on a course, progressing, et al.

Basically, these revoked colleges that are doing this are attempting to make as quick a profit as they can.

! DO NOT PAY THESE FEES THEY ARE ASKING FOR YOUR PROGRESS REPORTS !

Contact an immigration lawyer, contact UKVI and also speak with the college you wish to transfer to for options.

If this has happened to you, let us know via our FB page:  https://www.facebook.com/britishvisas

You can also contact the NUS:

The working group will be writing to all students who need to find a new place to study shortly to outline how that support will work. Please ensure your address is up -to-date with the Home Office at: https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outreach/AddressUpdate.ofm

Alternatively if you are concerned you will not get this communication from the Home Office please contact NUS using the webform and identify the best way to ensure this communication reaches you.

You will be given the opportunity to find a new sponsor but this time will be limited so please respond to the letter as soon as possible to ensure NUS and the working group are able to support you.
